Creating custom statuses

Create and configure custom statuses to better align the reservation workflow with your restaurant's processes through Status Configuration under Guests section from the Table Manager.

Configuring custom statuses

To enable and configure custom statuses from the Table Manager, go to Guests > Status Configuration, and click Setup Statuses.

The default Eat app statuses will be displayed in the page. You can either modify the existing ones or create a new status to align with your restaurant operations.

When editing an existing or default status, only the Status Label can no longer be changed.

Creating new status

Follow these steps to create a custom reservation status:

  1. Click New Status to start creating a custom status.
  2. Set the Status Label. The system will automatically generate a status code (visible in reports) based on this label. Note: Once created, the status code cannot be changed.
  3. Select an Icon to represent the new status.
  4. Choose a Category where the status should be listed.
  5. Customize the Icon Color by selecting from the color range or entering a hex code.
  6. (Optional) Set Recommended Next Statuses. This helps streamline workflow — when managing reservations, the Table Manager will suggest the next logical status for quick updates.
  7. Click Create Status to save and apply your new custom status.
