Messaging Events
You may control automatic messages that are sent from your restaurant to the guest by enabling or disabling them from the Messaging events.
1. On your Admin, go to Messaging > Events.
2. From here, you may choose either to edit your SMS or Email notification events.
3. Choose the Email/SMS event on the left-hand side and click Modify.
4. You may uncheck the "Event active" tick box located in the upper right corner to turn off this messaging event.
5. Make sure to click "Update Event" to save the changes.
SMS/Email reservation notifications
For restaurants which has a notification type set to Auto-confirm reservation.
Online reservations
- Reservation Confirmed notification - This is automatically sent by the system once the guest processed a reservation online.
- Reservation Cancelled/Denied notification - This is automatically triggered if the status of the reservation is changed to "Cancelled" or "Denied".
- Reservation Confirmed/ Cancelled/ Denied notification - This is automatically triggered if the status of the reservation is changed to "Confirmed", "Cancelled", or "Denied".
Waitlist

Waitlist Online - This notification is sent once a guest created a waitlist reservation online
- Waitlist Queued - Automatically triggered when a guest has been added to Waitlist.
- Waitlist Table Ready - Manually triggered when the table is ready
For restaurants which has a notification type set to Reservation Requested.
Online reservations
- Reservation has been requested notification - This is automatically sent by the system once the guest process a reservation online.
- Reservation Confirmed/ Cancelled/ Denied notification - This will only be triggered if the reservation status is changed to "Confirmed", "Cancelled", or "Denied".
To change your restaurant's notification type, you may send a request directly to your account manager or by sending a request to support@eatapp.co
Please note that SMS/Email Notification Messaging Events are only available on a Pro Subscription.
