Restaurant tags - Adding tags

Tags in Eat App are a great way to make sure you are tracking the information that matters for each of your guests or reservations.

Tag settings are accessed from admin.eatapp.co or by clicking the settings tab on the bottom left hand side of Eat App and clicking advanced settings on the top right. From here, navigate to the "Tag" tab on the top.

Adding Tags

To add in a new tag, start by clicking "Create new tag" on the bottom left hand side of the "Tags" tab in your advanced settings. You will then need to give this tag a name, for example "Anniversary" or "Vegetarian".

Once given a name, choose which category this tag belongs to, this makes it easier to find relevant tags when you need them most.

You are then able to either assign an icon for this tag through the icon dropdown or you can choose "Use abbreviation" to display three letters in the place of an icon, for example "VIP".

When you have chosen an icon or abbreviation, you will also be able to give this tag a priority. This ordering starts at 1, with 1 being the highest priority, and goes upwards. Tags ranked #1 will be displayed at the top of any tag list for easier usage and then followed by tags ranked 2,3,4 and so on.

You can assign the same tag priority to multiple tags. When doing so, all tags given the same priority will be sorted alphabetically.
