Setting up permissions and preferences

To edit restaurant user permissions and preferences, head to admin.eatapp.co and log in with a manager account. From here navigate to the "Permissions" tab.

Restaurant users in Eat App can fall into one of four categories.

  1. Manager
  2. Staff
  3. Call Center Manager
  4. Call Center Staff

From the permissions tab in Eat App you'll be able to define what permissions each user type possesses as well as a few preference settings.


Permissions

There are a number of permissions that can be toggled per restaurant user type, below you will find a list of the options currently present in Eat App along with what they each represent.

  • Manage invoices: Grant the ability to view and manage invoices
  • Advanced reports: Grant the ability to view advanced reports
  • Manage automation: Grant the ability to view and manage automation settings
  • Manage widgets: Grant the ability to create and edit widgets
  • Manage crm tagging: CRM functionality settings
  • Download reservations report: Reservation reports functionality settings
  • Manage restaurant users: Core restaurant level feature permission
  • Disable reservation deletion: Grant the ability to delete in house reservations.
  • Download crm: Grant the ability to download guest data from Advanced Guest Reports.
  • Manage admin: Grant the ability access and make changes to Advanced Settings.
  • Manage closing period: Grant the ability to block reservations for certain time periods or edit existing blocked slots.
  • Table suggestions: Allow the system to select a table that best fits a reservation
  • Mandatory table selection: Force the user to select a table before making a reservation
  • Manage tags: Allows the user to manage tags
  • Manage crm message: Allows the user to send mass messages to guests from the CRM.
  • Manage crm: Grant the ability to access Advanced Guest Reports.
  • Manage day notes: Grant the ability to create and edit notes.
  • Manage guests: Grant the ability to create and edit guest profiles.
  • Manage message templates: Grant the ability to create and edit SMS and email templates.
  • Manage online seating shifts: Grant the ability to create and edit restaurant shifts.
  • Manage reservations: Grant the ability to create and edit reservations.
  • Manage tables: Grant the ability to create and edit layouts and rooms.
  • Merge guests: Grant the ability to merge duplicate guest profiles.
  • Require custom tag: Custom tag must be added when creating a reservation.
  • Require reservation taken by: Reservation taker must be assigned when creating a reservation.

Preferences

There are a number of preferences that can be toggled per restaurant user type, below you will find a list of the options currently present in Eat App along with what they each represent.

  • Duplicate reservations conflict: Warn the user when creating a duplicate reservation
  • Shifts time slots: Hide timeslots that are not attached to a shift
  • Override blocked timeslots: Warn the user about creating or moving a reservation to a blocked timeslot
  • Wait list timer: Show different preferences for wait list timers
  • Overbook timeslots: Warn the user about over booking time slots
  • Reservation table covers conflicts: Warn the user about over or under seating a table
  • Reservation time conflict: Warn the user about creating a reservation that overlaps with another reservation
