Our story

Founded in 2015 by Nezar Kadhem and David Feuillard, Eat App was created to eliminate pen-and-paper bookings, disconnected guest data, and empty tables. The vision: an intuitive, cloud-based platform combining reservations, table management, and guest CRM in one place.

Over the years, Eat App has continuously evolved to meet the needs of the hospitality industry, establishing itself as a trusted leader in restaurant technology worldwide.

2015

Eat App raised $300,000 in seed funding from Bahrain-based angel investor TENMOU and launched from a small office in Bahrain—later expanding to Dubai—to build the first version of its reservation and CRM platform.

2018

Surpassed 1,000 restaurants on the platform and secured a $1.2M funding round to grow our team and enhance our technology. Recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the region’s top-funded startups, validating our vision and traction.

2020

Closed a $5M Series B round led by global venture investors, driving major product enhancements. Launched advanced analytics and automation tools, and marked a milestone with our 10 millionth guest booking on Eat App.

2021

Formed strategic partnerships with top hospitality groups, including Emaar Hospitality, which deployed Eat App across 50+ restaurants in its portfolio—demonstrating our ability to support enterprise-scale operations.

2022

Raised an additional $11M to accelerate global expansion. Launched our AI-powered reservation assignment and guest prediction engine, using machine learning to help restaurants optimize seating and personalize service.

2023

Surpassed 2,000 restaurants and 100 million guests seated through Eat App. Introduced WhatsApp reservations and a Loyalty Suite to help restaurants engage guests on their preferred channels and reward loyal customers.

2025

Now trusted by over 5,000 restaurants across more than 90 countries, Eat App continues to cement its position as a global leader in hospitality technology, delivering scalable, innovative solutions to restaurants worldwide.
